The nearest Underground station, St John’s Wood on the Jubilee Line, is about 15-minute walk from the LJS. Buses to central London, Camden Town, Cricklewood and Golders Green (routes 82, 46, 113, 139, 187, 189 and 274) are a 5-minute walk away. There is limited parking on St John’s Wood Road and the side roads, free of charge on Saturdays and Sundays unless there is a major cricket match at Lord’s. There are ‘pay-by-phone’ parking places during the week; these operate until 6.30pm. But in St John’s Wood Road, cars can only be parked without payment after 7.00pm as it is a Red Route. There are disabled parking bays directly opposite the synagogue. For security reasons, please don’t bring large parcels or bags to the synagogue.
Rabbi Rachel Benjamin will lead the Erev Tisha B’Av service, a solemn evening service that commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temple and other tragedies throughout Jewish history. The service will take place in the John Rayner Room.
This lecture marks the launch of a new year of learning at the LJS’s Learning Circle, a programme of courses for adults. The lecture is free and all are welcome. Get your free tickets via Eventbrite
